Kitchen & Bath Remodel Plumbing
Remodel plumbing lives or dies on scheduling. The rough-in has to be right before drywall, and the trim-out has to happen the week the tile is finished — not three weeks later while your family shares one bathroom.

What we do on a remodel
- Design input — before walls open, telling you what's straightforward and what's expensive. Moving a toilet three feet is a different job than moving a sink three feet.
- Demo and cap-off — safely isolating and capping so the rest of the house keeps working
- Rough-in — supply and DWV to the new layout, sized and vented correctly, ready for inspection
- Shower pans and drains — including linear drains and curbless assemblies
- Tub and shower valve setting — at the correct depth for your finished wall
- Gas runs for ranges and cooktops
- Trim-out — fixtures set, connected, tested, and cleaned up
- Permits and inspections — coordinated with your GC or handled directly
Additions and ADUs
The Central Coast has seen a lot of ADU activity, and the plumbing questions come up every time: can the existing service handle another unit, where does the new lateral tie in, does the water heater get shared or separate, and what does the jurisdiction require for metering. We work through all of it, and we've dealt with the local building departments enough to know what they'll want to see.
On additions, the two things worth getting right early are drain slope and venting. Both are far cheaper to plan than to correct after framing.
Working with your contractor
We're comfortable as a sub on a GC's job or as the plumber a homeowner brings in directly on an owner-builder project. Either way, what you get is a plumber who shows up on the day he said, communicates when something changes, and doesn't leave your project waiting.
General contractors and designers on the Central Coast: if you need a plumbing sub who answers the phone and hits schedule, let's talk.
Remodel Plumbing FAQs
Do you work directly with homeowners or only through contractors?
Both. Plenty of our remodel work comes through general contractors, and plenty comes from homeowners managing their own project.
Can I move my sink or toilet to a new location?
Usually. The cost depends on where the drain and vent are now versus where you want them, and whether you're on a slab or over a crawl space. We'll walk the space and tell you what's realistic before you commit to a layout.
How far ahead should I book remodel plumbing?
For a planned remodel, reach out as early as you have a layout — even before demo. Getting the rough-in on the calendar early keeps the rest of your schedule from slipping.
Do you pull the permits?
Yes, when we're the plumbing contractor of record. On a GC-run job the permit is often under their license and we work within it.
